Full event info Mudskipper Collingwood, in Ontario, Canada. This is in Collingwood harbour, at the southern point of Georgian Bay. A major landmark here is the Collingwood Terminals Limited grain elevator, closed in 1933 but still standing.
Collingwood is situated northwest of Toronto, providing a scenic backdrop with the Blue Mountains to the north and vast expanses of natural beauty surrounding it. The town is known for its proximity to recreational activities, both on the bay and in the surrounding highlands, including skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and water sports.
Collingwood serves as a gateway to the Blue Mountain Resort and is part of the Georgian Triangle area, making it a popular destination for tourists year-round.

How to get there
Depending on where you are coming from, you have several options;
Where to stay
The nearest hotel to the start area is probably the Somewhere Inn, followed by the Milestone Motel, the Luxury Inn and the Comfort Inn and Suites. All are downtown and close to other amenities like restaurants and bars.
There are plenty of other options in and around town, available on Booking.com and AirBnB, although other accommodation search engines are available.
Race distances
There is just one swimrun race distance, around 10 to 12 km in total, depending on the exact route chosen by the organisers.

The race route maps are shown below. The start and finish area is adjacent to the Canaqua Sports tent in the park area next to Birch Street. Washrooms and changing facilities are available.

There are no energy stations around the course, but there is food available at the finish area.

Weather
Held in early July, the weather is mild but a little unpredictable. The water temperature is around 68-72 degrees Fahrenheit, according to race organiser Canaqua. Wetsuits are not compulsory, but probably a good idea!.
There is always a chance of cold or wet weather, so you should take suitable clothing for every eventuality!
